Feeling like a bat
Jim has a bench that we use for sit ups, bench press, etc. We use this bench almost daily. The incline can be adjusted to different sets of difficulty. Sometimes its a slight incline for large sets of sit ups (60 3x's) and sometimes, well... I feel like a bat hanging from my feet.
Yesterday we used the bench to do bench presses. It is rather comical climbing onto the bench. First I had to duck under the weights, then I had to get my knees up and over the first bar and my feet under the second while "gracefully" rolling onto the bench. It is quite a feat to get into position! Then the actual exercise beings. It is quite an interesting sensation to bench pressing 65 pounds upside down as all the blood rushes to my head! The best way to "dismount" the bench is to simply roll off. Not very graceful but at least I didn't hit my head on the bar!Monday, April 19, 2010
Finally Great Weather!
The first week of April it snowed, no kidding snowed!
As in bring out your shovels, SNOWED!
As in bring out your shovels, SNOWED!
A look out our front door.
(my favorite household job!)
So only 11 days later when my mom called to have a picnic in the park and celebrate the great weather we jumped at the chance! Max was born the day before and my brother was looking to keep his other 3 boys occupied, so a picnic with cousins sounded great!
We played pass.

Where's my bacon?
Matt just reminded me of the other funny thing Morgan said on Saturday. Let me set the stage My older sister wanted to go back to a store we had already been in and buy some pants so she told us to go get the car while she made her purchase and she would meet us out front.
After getting everyone locked in their seat belts we started to drive to meet my sister. All the sudden Morgan started asking , "Where's the bacon?' My sister responded "What?" To which again we got "Where's the bacon?" My sister said "Are you talking about Tami?" Yes, where's my bacon." My sister explained she had gone back into a store and we would pick her up. Then asked "Why are you calling her your bacon?" Then she tried to get her to say Tami. We never did get an answer for why she called her the bacon but it sure was funny!

Honey
Morgan: "Mom?"
My sister: "What honey?"
Morgan: "I'm not honey, daddy's honey."
My sister: "What honey?"
Morgan: "I'm not honey, daddy's honey."
I'm still laughing! Smarty pants. I love these girls! I have tons of pictures of them on my new camera, I just need to download. This picture was Halloween. Morgan was a frog and Emma was a fairy although she had already shed most of her costume by this time. Oh the joy they bring to my life!
