Matt and Ty are really into rugby right now and are enthusiastic about sharing this interest with everyone! Saturday night BYU played CAL Berkley for the national championship. These two teams meet almost every year for the championship so we knew the game would be close. BYU lost but it was a nail biter the last few minutes.
Mom and dad Willard joined us for the event.
so did Jaxon, who annoyingly cheered for Cal Berkley the whole time...who invited him anyway?
We sat in the middle of a mob of BYU students (a little annoying at times) who all had these t-shirts on. They had a box of them and each time a friend showed up they gave them a shirt. Ty really wanted one so he walked up and asked how much they were. The guys told him they weren't selling them but asked if he would like one. Of course he said yes so they gave him one. On the back it says BYU RUGBY SUPER FAN. What a lucky kid!
We also meet a UTE rugby player that mom and dad knew from their mission. He was really nice and answered a lot of questions about the sport and the teams. I asked Ty if he wanted his picture taken with him but he said no.
After the game we went to Scaddy's for a yummy Philly, fries and shakes. So good! I seriously need to try something different on the menu but I just love that Philly!
This happened this morning before school. Ty and Miya were playing tug of war and I guess it got competitive. Ty wasn't mad and didn't even cry. He just calmly asked "did Miya get me good?" I'll say this is the record for her "getting him good". Poor kid.
