Wednesday when I dropped Ty off at the church for scouts I noticed the red cross trucks and signs announcing they were having a blood drive. I thought of Beckham and how important it is to donate, so I went home and changed into a short sleeve shirt then went back to donate. The worker who gave me the mini physical was pretty funny. She was about 10 years older than me. Here is part of our conversation as she was checking my pulse.

Worker: That's a nice pulse, you have a really nice pulse.
Me: Well I work out enough it should be good
Worker: You work out?
Me: Yea
Worker: Well you have a Really nice pulse, I bet people always tell you that. Do people always tell you that?
Me: Umm, no
Worker: Well you have a REALLY nice pulse
Me: Um thank you

So here is a shout out to "trainer Jim" for helping me get in shape and have A REALLY nice pulse!

Tuesday I took this cute little girl shopping with me to get her mommy and sisters some food and medicine. The whole family was sick except Emma and her daddy! Poor things.

I had forgotten what it was like to shop with a little one (and I don't have much experience with little girls!) She loved to look at everything sparkly, fluffy or with a princess on it. We bought her some Valentines for her preschool party, she chose the princess cards of course. When her mom asked if she thought the boys would enjoy a princess card we simply responded that we didn't care if they like them or not!

Emma is so cute and funny. When she climbed into my van she peeked over the back seat to see all the stuff we keep there. We have a couple camp chairs, an umbrella, and a backpack of emergency things. After observing all these items she said "Becky why do you have an unca-bella in your van?" She is so funny and super smart, she is already reading!

All I can say is that since these girls entered my life 4 1/2 years ago I have never been the same. It's a good thing I live on a budget because if I didn't we would have come home from the store with a lot more than valentines and medicine! Love you Emma!

Larry the Literal

Ty does not understand sarcasm or exaggerations! He is often left out of jokes in our family because the rest of us tend to be more sarcastic. Often we are all laughing because of something Ty said that is super funny but the irony is lost on him. We had one of these conversations last night.

Ty "I'm not Larry."

I was laughing so hard I almost cried! Again he didn't get why this was so funny but Matt, Zack and I were all bent over laughing! So Funny!
